WHAT THE HECK
IS GOING ON???
Roland Via is

September 19th and provides insight into
everyday local issues from news, government,
entertainment, health and other pertinent issues.

and Saturday 7-10 AM.

information on a wide variety of subjects and features a
call-in format enabling the listeners to be part of the
guest roster with questions, suggestions and opinions.
John E. Evans of Goliath says, “We feel that
Via’s show will provide more balance of information with
his extensive broadcast and political experience and
following. We’re glad to have him aboard.”
Big John, Goliath’s afternoon host replies,
“There are subjects Roland and I do not agree on, but
this goes to show my promise and Goliath’s Radio promise
of providing a variety of programming locally based.”
Via
brings 14 years broadcast experience in radio, music and
television and started on WELE for his first four years.
He was also was an elected official for 13 years in the
City of Holly Hill. Five of those years were as Mayor
and one year as President of the Volusia League of
Cities and was chosen as the Volusia Elected Official of
the Year in 2009. He has served on many county boards
and brings a vast, insightful, knowledge of government
and community to the program.
“The
problem with local government, as I see it, is the local
officials try hard to do the right thing but they do not
have the ability, opportunity or communication avenue to
effectively connect with the public. This show will give
them the ability to communicate more and perhaps remove
some of the stigma of misinformation and delve solely
into the true facts of what is going on,” Via says. “The
listeners and callers will also have the ability to get
questions answered and answers questioned.”
