To Love Your Country, Praise a Veteran
Political seasons may come and go
But it’s about the Veteran that you should know
No country is greater than the people within it
No country is stronger than the Veterans that defend it
A Country founded on Freedom is easy to take
But it’s the job of the Veteran, freedom to make
No country stands taller than America the Great
No person stands taller than a Veteran lying in state
It’s so easy to criticize decisions present and past
But remember this first, then remember this last
No country is greater than the US of A
No person greater than the Veteran defending it everyday
With honor and pride our flag still does wave
It’s the Veteran through battle that this freedom is saved
To Love your Country with such honor and pride
Remember there’s always a Veteran, by your side
Once political rhetoric fades into the recent past
It’s the Veteran who stands forever ready, defending the mast
So if you love your Country, this great land we are in,
To Love your Country, Praise a Veteran
